Dawnne Howard
Professional Counselor Associate
she/her/hers
Dawnne graduated from Southern Oregon University with a BS in Psychology. As a psychology student, Dawnne advocated for individuals in domestic violence situations and learned first-hand how counseling helped individuals cope and brought about wonderful life changes. She received an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University where she gained experience working with adults, teens, and couples experiencing difficulties such as, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, grief, addictions, eating disorders, personality disorders, and relationship difficulties.
Dawnne strongly believes that your story, your pain, and your collection of struggles are unique to you. As a therapist, she embraces the concept that past experiences and relationships affect what we feel and believe about ourselves today. Dawnne’s practice is influenced by evidence-based modalities including those from Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical-Behavioral, Relational-Cultural, and Adlerian theories, but she understands there is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy.
Dawnne works with clients to help them understand exactly what they are experiencing and why so that when they start making life-improving changes, they’ll stick. She provides a warm, non-judgmental, safe space where she can help you explore your concerns and find healing, growth, and wholeness.
Dawnne provides on-line therapy for adults, teens 14yrs and older, couples and other family groups.
