Haley Miller

Mental Health Counseling Intern

As a mental health counseling intern, Haley values creating a therapeutic space where clients feel emotionally safe enough to explore their experiences with curiosity. Her work focuses on helping clients better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and move toward more secure and connected ways of relating to others. Haley enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating communication difficulties, conflict, emotional distance, or major life transitions.

Her clinical work is primarily informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy, and she integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy based on each client’s unique needs and goals.

Haley also has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, body image concerns, disordered eating, and the emotional impact of chronic illness. As someone living with Type 1 diabetes, she understands how medical stress and burnout can affect identity, relationships, and emotional well-being. She approaches this work with compassion while remaining mindful of the impact of weight stigma and diet culture on mental health and self-perception.

Haley earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Portland State University and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Counseling at George Fox University.
